First made in Kenya search engine ready for official launch

August 8, 2016 • East Africa, Social Media

My finda, the first search engine developed in Kenya was activated in January 2016 and has almost 400 businesses registered on it and at least 5,000 downloads.

The application was developed by Finda Mobile Application Limited Company which was formed in 2015 by Maliha Sheikh. The main objective of my finda application is to bridge the gap between the consumer and the seller and to provide visibility and accessibility of local Kenyan Businesses. My finda is slowly changing the game, say its developers.

This application provides free business listings and also paid subscriptions, which are packaged differently as per the need of the user i.e. basic, bronze, silver, gold and platinum. The different subscriptions have different added values. Businesses can register on my finda by simply logging in on; and choosing the Package that meets their Business need. My finda provides online payments and is available on android and on Apple Stores.

The paid subscriptions range from Kshs 1500/- to a maximum of Kshs 6,000/- per annum making it affordable for all types of businesses.
