June 22, 2015 • Telecoms & Mobile, West Africa

MTN Cameroon has inaugurated two new Service Centres in the city of Yaounde. These customer touch points located at Bastos and Ngousso in the political capital were inaugurated by the Governor of the Centre Region, Mr. Otto Joseph Wilson, in the presence of the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon, Mrs. Philisiwe Sibiya, accompanied by members of the Executive Management Team.

Sibiya said at the inauguration of the Ngousso Service Centre that the move was in line with a programme launched in April 2013 to multiply the company’s direct sales points throughout the national territory with the aim of relieving congestion in our traditional Service Centres.

“Since the launch of the programme two years ago, 8 new proximity Service Centres have been created in 3 different Regions. By so do doing we have practically doubled our physical presence and increased to 18 the number of MTN Service Centres Nationwide,” he said. “Of course, the city of Yaounde, political capital of Cameroon, is key in the roll-out of this strategic programme with the opening of 3 new proximity Service Centres since last year.”

The Ngousso Service Centre, operational since late last year, is built on a surface area of 264 square meters with a capacity to receive more than 300 customers per day.
